The Illinois State University "Big Red Marching Machine", cheerleaders, and the Redline Express Dancers, entertain crowds throughout most Illinois State athletic events.
The Big Red Marching Machine, which turns out a compact disc and DVD each year, is more than 275 members strong. It performs at Illinois State home football games, playoffs, and travels the state of Illinois performing at high school stadiums each year.
The "Courtside Players" pep band appears at men's and women's basketball and volleyball games, and travels with the teams for post-season tournaments.
The Redline Express, a dance team under the direction of the band, also performs at all home games and post-season tournaments.

REDLINE EXPRESS
As the "official" dance team of Illinois State University, the Redline Express proudly perform at all ISU football, basketball and volleyball games. Our season begins in the summer where we attend weekend camps, as well as a collegiate UDA camp at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. During football season, the ISU Dancers perform pre-game and halftime performances with the Big Red Marching Machine. Along with the BRMM, we have performed at many exhibitions including Bands of America regionals and Illinois marching band competitions. As basketball and volleyball are in season, we perform at halftimes, as well as time outs. We perform at the Missouri Valley Conference basketball championships each year and just this past season, we had the honor of performing at the National Invitation Tournament here at ISU’s Redbird Arena.
